Jim Ratner joined Stockbridge in 2006 and serves as a Managing Director for the firm’s Platform Business, responsible for portfolio and asset management activities.

Prior to joining Stockbridge, Jim served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at American Realty Trust, a publicly-traded real estate investment trust focused on properties leased to banks and other financial institutions.

Previously, Jim served in various capacities at PaineWebber and its predecessor, including as a Managing Director in the Real Estate Investment Banking Group. In this role, Jim was instrumental in the formation of Stockbridge’s first commingled opportunity fund.

Jim received a B.A. and B.S.E. from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. and M.B.A. from the University of Michigan.
