Jim Ratner joined Stockbridge in 2006 and focuses on acquisitions and portfolio management.
Previously, from 2003 through 2005, Mr. Ratner served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at American Financial Realty Trust, a publicly-traded real estate investment trust focused on properties leased to banks and other financial institutions. From 1991 through 2003, Mr. Ratner served in various capacities at PaineWebber Incorporated and its predecessor, including as a Managing Director in PaineWebber’s Real Estate Investment Banking Group. In this role, Mr. Ratner was instrumental in the formation of Stockbridge’s first commingled opportunity fund.
Mr. Ratner received a B.A. and a B.S.E. from the University of Pennsylvania’s College of Arts and Sciences and Wharton School, respectively, and a J.D. and M.B.A. from the University of Michigan.
